Kansas State University
We are fortunate to have Kansas State University in the midst of the Manhattan Community. Manhattan, Kansas, "The Little Apple", takes on the feel of a big city while maintaining the quaint and personal aspects of a smaller community with the influences of Kansas State University. The Arts, Educational Opportunities, Athletics, Recreation, and Extension Resources are a benefit and an enjoyment for the region.
Kansas State University has Colleges in Arts and Science, Agriculture, Business, Education, Engineering, Human Ecology, Technology & Avitation, and Veterinary Medicine. The University provides for approximately 23,000 students, is a Division 1 school, and is part of the Big 12 conference.
